Pond Liners – HDPE Geomembrane
The most important use of Agri-Geo HDPE geomembrane is pond lining. Such as Farm pond, Fish pond, lakes, bunds, Reservoirs, Dams, canal, Landfill, waste disposal sites, waste water storage, rain water harvesting, irrigation storage and many more. Agri-Geo HDPE geomembrane are made from HDPE woven fabrics laminated with LDPE adding UV stabilizer, carbon black and additive to improve life, make chemical resistant and protection against UV and oxidation. It is economical compared to concrete tank.

Considerations for Dimensions of Pond
- The required capacity of the pond and the availability of space for construction are the factors to be considered while designing the pond.
- The pond should be ideally hold enough water that in the absence or near absence of rain the water should last for 1 or 2 seasons.
- The rate of evaporation needs to be considered while deciding on the capacity of the pond.
- Ideally for 2-3 hectares of land a pond size of 30m*30m will do well.
- The stipulated land should be tested with digging 2 ditches till they hit hard rock of dimensions 1.5m*1m.
- Then the layers of soil should be tested to get better idea for selecting the depth of the pond.
- In most cases the depth the depth is selected in 3-4m range and the internal slope in range 1:1 to 5:1.

Safety Considerations for the Pond
- The pond should ideally have a fence to reduce pestering from cattle and wild animals.
- Stone pinchind or weed fencing should done to avoid soil slipping into the pond.
- Avoid planting trees too close to the pond. The tree roots may damage the pond lining.
Installation Procedure
- Site Preparation Ensure surface to be smooth.
- All water should be drained from the pond.
- An anchor trench is normally used to secure the perimeter edge of the liner.
- We use hot air gun for welding HDPE Geomembrane.
